Nothing heralds Spring and Summer around here
more beautifully than dining outside
and there is little in this world more romantic than your table illuminated by the last light of twilight ....

Hear What People Are Saying...

"My day off with Scrappin'Rooster in one word: rejuvenating.
I'm not one to think creatively of taking time out for myself, but can for my family. Labor of love is part of my life as a wife, mother, homemaker and other hats I may need to wear. I love the way the Lord has blessed me in all areas of my life. My "work" is not really work most days it's a "labor of love". However, I've found that I can let myself go and forget about my "labor of love" and look at it as "work". I'm then reminded that I have not intentionally taken time out for myself.
I have had the opportunity to participate twice in a day off at Scrappin'Rooster. I felt like I was participating in the closest thing to a heavenly adventure on this earth.
To describe my adventure in my own personal day off, it was rejuvenating. I've found afterwards that my life was again a "labor of love" blessed by God not just "work". It consisted of 12 hours of doing what ever craft I wanted, taking a nap, or watching a movie. B'nae, Shea, and Rachel were like sweet breezes coming and checking on my needs through out the day. The food; what can I say about the food? Fabulous! Chef Rachel's talents have blessed my palette with heavenly meals I could only dream of let alone try to make myself. I encourage to take this adventure of rejuvenation. You won't be disappointed."

How We Got Started

Hi Everyone,
As I look at the invitation, full of potential fun and excitement, I realize that many of you may not know anything about us. Let me explain as simply and as short as I can (not a small feat). I know this is a long email but our website is under construction. Read to the end, you will enjoy it!

Sisters B'nae Pulve and Shealyn Proano along with Rachel Tribby have decided that care-givers need caring for just as much as our precious ones. We came up with a grand idea.

Picture this: You have had a long couple of weeks. You just want a little peace to do the things you love to do without interruptions or demands on your attention. Your baby will not let you sit at your scrapbook table without him. Your knitting project hasn't moved from planning stage. That craft project isn't finishing itself. All you need is time. Better yet, all you need is time with your friends while having a good time chatting AND getting to do your projects! You have cleared your schedule for Saturday and have been checking off the day 'til that morning. This is your time! This is for you!

Here is where we come in. B'nae's house is often described as a model home. I can tell you that it is comfy and gorgeous at the same time. We have cleaned it spotless and set up space for you to work on. She and I are there to make your day pleasant without hovering but always helpful. B'nae is a fine scrapbooker and knitter. I would say I am an intermediate knitter (I just taught myself cables on our last getaway) and have an artsy scrapbooking style. We love these pastimes and think that it is important to take the time to create beautiful FINISHED projects.

The best part of Scrappin’ Rooster is Rachel Tribby. Since the age of fourteen, she has had a passion for cooking. Trained at the Le Cord en Bleu School of Culinary Arts, Rachel has mastered her gift working at bed and breakfasts, tea shops and an entire working ranch. She is amazing. And she is ours. Rachel will provide us with lunch and dessert, dinner and dessert, plus snacks during the day. For October’s getaway, we had BLTs. Sounds rather simple? Not in the least. They were spread with prociutto aoli, applewood smoked bacon and oven roasted tomatoes. Along with salt and pepper chips, I ate two. The lunch dessert was waffle cookies sandwiching chocolate buttercream and raspberries. Chocolate was generously spread on top. Again, I ate two. Dinner was an indescribable alfredo lasagna, salad and tiramisu sundaes. I didn’t have room for seconds this time. We could not be luckier. I tell everyone I come for the knitting, but really it’s the food.

The three of us are dedicated to caring for ourselves and others. We know this is a good idea, great place, great visiting, and great food. Come for as long as you can get away and don’t worry about a thing. We will take care of it. Join us in a day off from responsibilities and let’s play!!!
